Haltemprice Crematorium opened in 1998 following extensive refurbishment of the former De La Pole Hospital Chapel.
We take great care in creating a peaceful and tranquil environment for people to visit and pay their respects to relatives and friends who are no longer with us. It is never easy to arrange a fitting farewell, but for families in the Hull and East Riding area, Haltemprice Crematorium offers help, advice and a choice of reliable and appropriate services provided by a caring and experienced team of professionals.
Location
Looking over the peaceful country aspect of semi-rural Willerby, it is hard to believe that this impressive facility is within easy access of the busy towns of Hull and Beverly via the A164.Once a place of Christian worship, this converted building can now accommodate multi-faith services of up to 200 mourners.
Although completely refurbished, much of the chapel's original features have been retained and traditional craftsmen's skills are evident in a blend of old and new features. Seasoned roof timbers and mellow brickwork merge to form a striking backdrop for a modern stained glass window, which colourfully depicts The Ship of Souls.
